Our client in the pharma industry is seeking a Senior Application Analysts to join a long-term, multi-year initiative in Rensselaer, NY. This is a critical "business-to-system" translation role, sitting at the intersection of operational intent and technical execution.
Unlike a traditional BA or configurator, you will own the functional logic of how technology platforms serve industrial operations, ensuring that system builds reflect real-world process intent across domains like Manufacturing, QC, QA, Supply Chain, and Facilities.

Role Overview
- Location: Rensselaer, NY (Onsite 4 days/week)
- Duration: Multi-year contract
- Hourly Rate: $55/hr – $65/hr
- Focus: Industrial Operations and Product Supply (IOPS) Systems
Core Responsibilities
- Operational Translation: Develop a deep working knowledge of IOPS domain processes and workflows to translate business needs into build-ready, testable, and traceable requirements.
- Solution Pathing: Determine the optimal solution for requirements by mapping them to existing platform capabilities first and challenging unnecessary complexity.
- Architecture Collaboration: Document functional gaps and collaborate with System Architects when custom paths are required; translate technical options back into business-understandable terms.
- Data Stewardship: Own data models for materials, methods, and templates. Define and enforce reuse patterns and data load rules to ensure system scalability.
- Standardization: Identify opportunities to templatize configuration approaches across workflows and molecules, prioritizing platform-native functionality over custom builds.
- User Validation: Close the loop with end users post-delivery to verify practical functionality and capture gaps for future requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: Proven track record as a Business or Application Analyst translating complex business processes into system configuration or functional design.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to work directly with domain experts to extract, clarify, and formalize requirements.
- Data Proficiency: Strong understanding of data models, master data management principles, and the downstream impact of data decisions on scalability.
- Technical Hands-on: Direct experience with functional configuration in enterprise applications (e.g., LIMS, ERP, MES, Veeva, Maximo, or similar).
Preferred Qualifications
- Industry Context: Experience working in regulated GMP environments (Pharma, Biotech, or Med-Tech).
- Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with LabWare, MES PAS-X, Oracle Fusion, Veeva, Lab Bus, Maximo, or Enterprise Integration Platforms.
- Domain Expertise: Understanding of QC laboratory workflows, manufacturing execution, quality management, or supply chain operations.
- Compliance: Familiarity with Computer System Validation (CSV) and 21 CFR Part 11 requirements.
