Location: Tarrytown, NY - Onsite (Minimum 4 days/week)
Long term contract
Pay rate: $90/hr - $100/hr

Role Overview
Our client is seeking an Expert-level Programmer/Analyst to join their team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between clinical imaging and data science. You will be responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining sophisticated imaging data collection systems, analysis monitoring databases, and custom WebApps that ensure the integrity and trackability of our research operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Ecosystem Management: Utilize expertise in imaging informatics tools (DICOM, Nifti, E2E, PACS, Flywheel) to manage and process complex datasets.
  • Full-Stack Tool Development: Build and deploy interactive WebApps (e.g., R-Shiny) to allow real-time tracking of operations and data quality.
  • Database Administration: Handle end-to-end DB management, including table maintenance, performance optimization, indexing, and creating complex views or stored procedures.
  • Data Science & Automation: Leverage Python for advanced data manipulation, visualization, and the integration of Machine Learning frameworks into existing workflows.
  • Metadata Analysis: Navigate and extract value from imaging data headers and metadata, aligning them with operational reports and tracking requirements.

Required Technical Skills
  • Imaging Informatics: Deep familiarity with DICOM standards, Nifti formats, and platforms like Flywheel or PACS.
  • Programming & Web Frameworks: Proficiency in Python (for Data Science and Web Frameworks) and R-Shiny for application development.
  • Data Management: Advanced SQL skills and experience with platforms like Dataiku.
  • Database Engineering: Proven ability to optimize and maintain database architectures to support high-stakes R&D projects.
Experience & Requirements
  • Experience Level: Expert (Senior-level professional with a proven track record in imaging informatics or a related R&D-IT field).
  • Communication: Ability to translate complex imaging requirements into functional technical specifications.
