About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and cross-functional Test Engineer III to join an advanced engineering team dedicated to developing cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies. In this role, you will simulate, test, certify, and improve highly integrated systems, ranging from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to orbital and space exploration technologies.
You will lead the development of complex test plans and procedures across the product lifecycle, ensuring thorough verification and validation (V&V) of all product requirements using industry-standard tools.

You will lead the development of complex test plans and procedures across the product lifecycle, ensuring thorough verification and validation (V&V) of all product requirements using industry-standard tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Test Development & Execution: Develop complex, professional test plans, procedures, and reports to demonstrate strict compliance with system requirements.
- V&V Activities: Plan, conduct, and document Verification and Validation (V&V) activities for both system and component-level new products.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with multi-disciplinary design and development teams to manage requirements, system design, and systems integration.
- Troubleshooting & Analysis: Read schematics, utilize service manuals, follow strict test procedures, and apply logical troubleshooting techniques to diagnose issues.
- Quality & Compliance: Identify, generate, and process product non-conformances in alignment with Product and Quality Assurance principles.
- Safety & Security: Act in a safety-sensitive capacity, inspecting structures, equipment, and vehicles to ensure the security of people and property.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Degree: Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a closely related technical discipline.
- Experience: Typically 5 or more years of relevant engineering and testing experience.
- Language: Full professional proficiency in English (Reading, Writing, and Speaking).
- Strong foundational knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
- Direct experience working within multi-disciplinary product design and development environments.
- Proven track record with requirements management, system design, and system integration.
- Hands-on experience planning, executing, and documenting formal V&V activities.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Experience performing certification testing for regulatory organizations (e.g., FAA, NASA, DoD).
- Proficiency with a variety of test equipment, testing standards, and methodologies (including both manual and automated testing).
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
- Environment: Primarily an indoor engineering/lab setting with rare exposure to outdoor elements, loud noises, or hazardous materials.
- Physical Demands: Frequent walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs. Frequent repetitive hand, arm, and finger motions requiring strong manual dexterity. Occasional lifting or carrying of up to 25 lbs.
