Description – Mechanical Engineer III
- Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy, and improve cutting-edge products and services ranging from payloads to integrated aircraft and space systems.
- Conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems across the full product lifecycle.
- Collaborate closely within multi-disciplinary design and development teams.
- Perform physical movements including walking, sitting, standing, and climbing stairs/steps as required by daily tasks.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline with typically 6 or more years of relevant experience.
- Practical knowledge of engineering principles and hands-on experience with Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) tools.
- Preferred experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5.
- Familiarity with Engineering Simulation tools including Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), and Thermal Analysis.
- Strong background in the Aerospace and Defense industry.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design principles, parametric design, model-based definition, material/hardware selection, and manufacturing/production processes.
