Job Description
Links Technology is seeking a driven and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our client's team in Hagerstown, Maryland. Our client is a leading aerospace and defense firm, renowned for delivering customer-focused technology and best-of-breed integrations. This Contract role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise to design and create groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies. The contract length is 4 months plus.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer:
- Our Mechanical engineers research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services.
- These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.
- You'll conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems and your technical duties include the design and development of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
- Bachelor's of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering discipline and typically 2 or more years of relevant experience
- Practical Knowledge of engineering principles and practices
- Experience with Computer Aided Engineering tools (CATIA V5/V6 preferred)
- Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
- Backround in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
- Experience with Commercial Derivative Aircraft
- Familiarity with applying and interpreting Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
- Understanding of Engineering Simulation such as Finite Element structural Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Thermal Analysis
- Knowledge of industry-standard mechanical design principles, to include, but not limited to parametric design, model-based definition, material hardware selection, manufacturing, and production processes
- 10 Days PTO

- Paying up to $45/hr
