Job Description

Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Logistics Specialist I to join our client's team in Vandalia, OH. Our client is a leading Aerospace and Defense firm. This is a Contract role offering an opportunity to gain foundational experience in aerospace logistics and supply chain operations. Responsibilities of the Logistics Specialist:

  • Assist in preparing logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, and materials.
  • Support the routing, documentation, and coordination of shipping logistics.
  • Track logistics materials and parts to ensure proper allocation in storage facilities.
  • Collaborate with teams to maintain accurate records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
  • Learn and apply applicable state, federal, and global regulations, including import/export requirements.
Qualifications of the Logistics Specialist:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent (related experience may be considered in lieu of education).
  • 0+ years of hands-on experience in logistics, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience with inventory databases and shipping databases (e.g., FedEx, DHL, UPS) is preferred.
  • Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
  • Ability to frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in conditions that may occasionally include outdoor elements (high/low temperatures, sun, rain) and loud noises.
  • This is a Safety Sensitive Position involving responsibility for the safety and security of people or property and may involve handling or inspecting equipment, vehicles, or hazardous materials.
