Description – IT Support Engineer / Systems Administrator:
- Own and resolve escalated technical issues across multiple client environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, and related infrastructure.
- Support Microsoft 365 identity, security, MFA, Conditional Access, permissions, licensing, and authentication.
- Troubleshoot Exchange Online, mail flow, DNS, and email authentication issues.
- Assist with Microsoft 365 migrations, tenant changes, identity transitions, and post-migration troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot Windows Server, virtualization, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, networking, and other infrastructure issues.
- Identify recurring problems and opportunities to improve the reliability, security, and manageability of customer environments.
- Plan and execute customer improvement projects, including Microsoft 365 changes, security improvements, infrastructure upgrades, migrations, software deployments, and remediation work.
- Assist Tier 1/2 technicians with complex issues through troubleshooting guidance and knowledge transfer.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for client environments, projects, and support procedures.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding technical issues, project work, recommendations, and remediation plans.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, providing after-hours technical support, troubleshooting critical issues, and escalating incidents as needed to ensure timely resolution.
- Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in IT support, systems administration, or as a senior technical resource within an MSP environment.
- Advanced expertise in Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Windows Server, and hybrid infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience with Exchange Online, mail flow, DNS, email authentication, virtualization, and Group Policy.
- Strong background in security administration including MFA, Conditional Access, and identity management.
- Proven ability to independently take technical problems and customer improvement projects from investigation through implementation.
- Excellent customer-facing communication skills paired with a talent for mentoring junior technicians and creating clear technical documentation.
