Title: AIRCRAFT STRUCTURAL TECHNICIAN

Location: Multi-location (Englewood, Colorado, or Dayton, Ohio)

Pay Rate: $43.00 per hour

Hours: 40 hours per week

Duration: 12 month+ Contract

Summary:

Join a leading Aerospace and Defense firm as a skilled technician specializing in advanced sheet metal and structural assembly. This position involves assembling major aircraft structures, aligning parts on aerospace vehicles, and performing precise structural modifications. Ideal candidates will possess comprehensive experience with precision layout, heavy structure repairs, and blueprint interpretation.

Description – Aircraft Structural Technician:

  • Utilize expert sheet metal skills to execute skin doubling, countersinking, and complex structural repairs.

  • Assemble major aerospace structures and perform part-fitting operations, including filing, sawing, trimming, riveting, drilling, and reaming.

  • Align parts precisely on jigs and aerospace vehicles using custom templates and specialized fixtures.

  • Read and interpret complex technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals to complete installations per engineering drawings.

  • Measure components with micrometers and calipers to verify dimensions and maintain strict quality control.

  • Modify complete and incomplete assemblies, seamlessly incorporating required engineering changes into the structure.

Qualifications – Aircraft Structural Technician:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in aerospace structural assembly and sheet metal modification.

  • Proven proficiency in reading, interpreting, and working from technical blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

  • Demonstrated experience installing a variety of specialty fasteners (e.g., rivets, hi-locks) and using precision measuring tools.

  • Familiarity with airframe corrosion removal and structural repair techniques.

  • Must own and maintain a professional set of tools in good working order.

  • Strong attention to detail, a safety-first mindset, and the physical ability to frequently lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Must successfully pass a physical, drug screen, background check, and driving record screening, with the ability to obtain/maintain a security clearance.
