Job Description

Links Technology Solutions is currently seeking an experienced Test Engineer to fill an opening with an Aerospace company. 

Responsibilities of the Test Engineer
  • As a Test Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to simulate, test, certify and improve cutting edge products and services. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems.
  • This position is situated within a dynamic team-focused environment, emphasizing the planning and execution of comprehensive testing for both mission systems and air vehicles.
  • The role involves extensive system testing, aimed at assessing a broad spectrum of mission equipment such as communication, computing, navigation, and surveillance systems, to ensure they meet design and functionality standards. Additionally, air vehicle testing tasks will include the assessment of aircraft systems disturbed during air vehicle modification and return-to-service efforts, and a thorough evaluation of various flight and control capabilities across prototype air vehicles.
  • Generate presentation material and conduct presentations for internal and external program briefs
  • Draft and develop test plans and test procedures of various complexities, with specific test criteria

Qualifications of the Test Engineer
  • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 2 or more years of experience
  • Conceptual knowledge of engineering principles and practices Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration Exposure to planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
  • Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing
  • Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements
  • Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
  • Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)
  • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
  • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

  • 10-30% travel is to be expected to support off-site test activities
