AV-rated mid-sized firm located in downtown Chicago, with a successful practice spanning more than 30 years, seeks an experienced litigation attorney with a strong business law background and a desire to succeed. Our collegial firm has a practice which includes commercial litigation, real estate transactions, corporate transactions, and estate planning.
The ideal applicant for this litigation position should have between 4-8 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation matters. This position calls for an attorney with trial skills and the ability to effectively manage the large volume of complex litigation matters that our firm handles.

The ideal applicant for this litigation position should have between 4-8 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation matters. This position calls for an attorney with trial skills and the ability to effectively manage the large volume of complex litigation matters that our firm handles.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and try complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, business torts, fiduciary duty claims, and shareholder derivative actions.
- Conduct legal research, analyze complex legal issues, and draft persuasive legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Represent clients in court, including depositions, hearings, and trials.
- Advise clients on litigation strategies and risk management.
- Work collaboratively with other attorneys and staff in the firm.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- 4-8 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation matters.
- Strong trial skills and the ability to effectively manage a large volume of complex litigation matters.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
