Job Description
Links Technology Solutions seeks an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to join our client's team at an Aerospace company in Folsom, CA. You'll be instrumental in safeguarding systems & data by overseeing server maintenance, providing platform infrastructure, and collaborating with teams. Leverage your in-depth expertise in Red Hat Linux, VMware, and monitoring tools to proactively maintain a robust and secure technology environment.
Responsibilities Linux Systems Administrator:
- Manage servers (configuration, upgrades, network integration, security).
- Maintain business-critical servers, storage, and infrastructure.
- Support platform and business applications.
- Collaborate with App & Dev teams to provide hardware support.
- Proactively monitor & troubleshoot server & network issues.
- Install/maintain wired/wireless networks & equipment.
- Manage backups, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
- Document server configurations & software licensing.
- Participate in on-call support & ticketing systems.
- Build & test prototype systems.
- Integrate automation processes for efficiency.
Qualifications of the Linux Systems Administrator:
- Bachelor's degree + 3+ years (or 7 without) in Linux administration.
- 3+ years Red Hat experience (VMware & monitoring tools a plus).
- Network troubleshooting & patch management expertise.
- Familiarity with Red Hat, CentOS, Microsoft, and diverse platforms.
- US citizenship & ability to obtain DoD security clearance (mandatory).
- Strong communication & collaboration skills.
