Links Technology is seeking a hands-on and collaborative Help Desk Technician II to join our Schaumburg, IL team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support: Troubleshoot software, hardware, networking issues for users both remotely and onsite.
  • Software & Hardware: Install, configure, maintain software; perform hardware upgrades/repairs, OS builds, and patching.
  • IT Systems: Collaborate on projects related to infrastructure, operations, and security.
  • Documentation: Update knowledge bases and technical documentation.
  • Client Focus: Deliver exceptional customer service and timely updates.
  • Team Mentality: Mentor and share knowledge with team members to enhance overall support capabilities.
Required Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's in Computer Science or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
  • Experience: 2+ years in Help Desk, technical support, or client-facing IT
  • Hardware & Software: Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software
  • Microsoft Expertise: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • IT Managed Services: Experience in this environment is a significant plus.
  • Core Technologies: VMware, MS 365, MS Azure, Active Directory, DUO VPN, ConnectWise
  • Operating Systems: In-depth understanding of Windows 10/11
  • Networking: Basic IT and networking fundamentals

  • Certifications: A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP
  • Remote & Onsite Support: Proven expertise in both
  • Customer Service Focus: Passion for helping clients succeed.
  • Collaborative Mindset: Enjoys knowledge-sharing and mentoring fellow technicians.
