Links Technology is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Electrical Engineer II to join our client's team in Hagerstown, MD. Our client is a leading aerospace and defense firm. This is a five-month contract role offering the opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge aerospace and defense technologies.
Responsibilities of the Electrical Engineer II:
  • You'll have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and experience to design and create the most groundbreaking aerospace and defense technologies - those that exist today and those that will shape tomorrow.
  • You’ll research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting edge products and services.
  • These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft systems.
  • You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle of fully integrated systems.

Qualifications of the Electrical Engineer II:
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience
  • Knowledge of engineering principles and practices Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design & development teams
  • Experience with simulations through functional and logical models and system analysis
  • Experience with electrical design tools like CATIA Electrical (preferred), AutoCAD or others Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
  • Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA)
  • Knowledge of guidance and certification of aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnection Systems (EWIS)
  • Knowledge of industry-standard electrical design principles, to include, but not limited to model-based definition, electrical component selection, manufacturing, and production processes
